Did you know that traditionally Prosecco is made in a drier style than what we (in the US) typically find on the retailers’ shelves? Apparently for the market here in North America, which has the reputation of having a sweeter palate, makers of this Italian sparkling wine will sweeten things up a bit in order for the wine to sell. But for those who tend to shy away from the sweetness often found in Prosecco wines sold here in the states, this is a nice bottle and truer to Prosecco you would find in Italy.
Tesoro Della Regina which in Italian translates to treasure of the queen, is dry and crisp, with aromas of apple, pear and white flower, and a hint of citrus. Perfect with appetizers , a light salad, or on its own as an apèritif!
